How to register

  1. Create an account (show help page) or log in to an existing account.
    1. If you are a previous volunteer who last volunteered in 2016 or earlier, please make sure your first, middle, and last name and birth date are exactly the same as in eAYSO. This will ensure that your certifications get transferred over. For example, if in eAYSO your name is "Michael L. Smith", do not register as "Mike Smith" because that will not be a match.
    2. Please create only one account per family. One additional person (e.g., another parent or other family member) may be added during the account creation process. Others may be added afterwards.
  2. Add participants (players) (show help page)
    1. If the player has played with AYSO before, but it in 2016 or earlier, please enter the first and last name and birth date exactly how it appears in eAYSO.
    2. For new players (i.e., never played AYSO in Newbury Park), we will need proof of the birth date (birth certificate, passport, or baptismal certificate, etc.).
  3. Register for the 2020 Fall Soccer program (show help page)
    1. You must use electronic signature ("eSign") to indicate that you accept all agreements.
    2. The early bird registration fee of $125 per player is valid until May 16, after which it becomes $160/player.
    3. Credit card payments may be done on the web site.
    4. If you intend to pay by cash or check, complete the registration process until you reach the payment portion. After May 16, cash payments are no longer accepted.
    5. Print out one copy of the completed form. If paying by cash or check, please see the help page for instructions on how to print your player form.
  4. Come to one of the two in-person registration events:
    • When: Sunday, April 26, noon–5:00 PM, or Saturday, May 16, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
    • Where: Morton Boys & Girls Club, Sequoia Middle School, 2855 Borchard Road, Newbury Park, CA 91320
    • What to bring (everyone): Printed registration form, cash/check payment (if you didn't pay online with a card)
    • What to bring (new players): Documentation establishing proof of age (birth certificate, baptismal certificate, immunization record, etc.), the player (10U & older divisions only) for skills evaluation – this is not a tryout! This to help us create balanced teams, one of the AYSO core principles. Everybody plays!

Registration is not complete until we receive the printed registration form, even if you pay online. This is because these coaches must have physical copies of these forms at all practices and games, and we have nearly 1,200 players, so it is cost-prohibitive for us to print out forms for everyone, so thank you for doing us this small favor.

Please see our frequently asked questions (FAQ).

AYSO VIP Program

The AYSO Very Important Players (VIP) Program provides a quality soccer experience for children and adults whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams. VIP teams may include those who are:

  • Blind or visually impaired
  • Amputees or with conditions that impair mobility
  • Mentally or emotionally challenged
  • Autistic
  • Down syndrome
  • Cerebral Palsy

These youngsters are Very Important Players (VIP) in AYSO. We recognize that all children need to feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. The VIP program offers that acceptance and carries the AYSO philosophy of Everyone Plays® to new heights – giving everyone a chance to play.

VIP is an alternative for young people choosing to enjoy modified rules, field size, and assistance of a helpful "buddy" on the field as needed. Anyone ages 5 – 18 years, regardless of disability, is welcome to register.

Players looking to register for VIP may do so at Region 4 in Agoura Hills or Region 68 in Camarillo.

Additional general information on the AYSO VIP Program is also available at the VIP page on the National AYSO site.

AYSO EXTRA™ is a competitive soccer program for players who want to play at a more competitive level. We do not offer this program, but some of our neighboring regions do, including Region 9 Thousand Oaks, Region 68 Camarillo, Region 4 Agoura, Region 363 Moorpark, and Region 121 Simi Valley. Information concerning those tryouts can be found on the respective websites. More information about the program in general may be found at the AYSO National web site.

AYSO United is a competitive soccer program that plays under the auspices of the CalSouth club soccer league. Players in this program will compete against local club teams such as Newbury Park Soccer Club, LA Galaxy Conejo Valley, or Real SoCal. Information concerning their tryouts can be found at our local United program, AYSO United Rancho Conejo. For more information about United in general, please see the AYSO United web site.
