Thank you to all our coaches, referees, players and families, and volunteers for another successful Panther Shootout. The final results for 2022 are shown below. We hope to see you all again next year!!!

10U Boys

First place: Arcadia – McCoy (C3)
Second place: Santa Monica – Pfaff (D3)
Third place: Agoura – O'Keeffe (D4)
Fourth place: Simi Valley – (C2)
Shootout: Arcadia – McCoy (C3)

10U Girls

First place: North Valley – Bacerra (A4)
Second place: Arcadia – Losorelli (A2)
Third place: Newbury Park – O'Neill (B1)
Fourth place: Santa Monica – Torkamani (B2)
Shootout: Newbury Park – O'Neill (B1)

There was a three-way tie for third place, but Newbury Park and Santa Monica won the tiebreakers with fewer goals allowed. Likewise, there was a tie for first place in the Shootout portion as well, and Newbury Park also won that with fewer goals allowed.

12U Boys

12U Girls

14U Boys

In an unprecedented event, all four teams were tied in the Shootout. Newbury Park and Arcadia were also tied with the least number of goals allowed, and as such, faced each other in a playoff, which was won by Arcadia.

Panther Shootout


AYSO Region 42 in Newbury Park, CA is proud to invite your teams to the 24th Annual Panther Shootout. This tournament is an All-Star tournament and will be held over Thanksgiving weekend; Friday and Saturday, November 25–26, 2022. All games are held at Pepper Tree Playfields in Newbury Park; parking is free and no pets are allowed at the fields.

Our tournament format is unique and extremely fun for the participants. Every preliminary game ends in a shootout, but without the usual pressure. We will award trophies for first and second place and medals will be awarded to third and fourth place teams in divisions with more than 8 teams. Special awards will also be given out to the winners of the PK “Shootouts”.

The Panther Shootout Tournament is open to all AYSO boys and girls All-Star teams in age divisions: 14U, 12U, and 10U. All players must be registered to play in this year's AYSO primary season. Guest players will be allowed (3 maximum per team).

This is a pool play tournament. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games in pool play. The top teams will advance to the medal round on Saturday afternoon. All pool play games will be as follows: 25 minute halves for 14U and 12U, and 24 minute halves for 10U. After each pool play game, each team takes part in the “Shootout” competition.

Newbury Park, California is located about 12 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean in beautiful Ventura County. It is nestled against the Santa Monica Mountains about 50 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 55 miles southeast of Santa Barbara, surrounded by the city of Thousand Oaks and borders U.S. Highway 101.
