Fall 2017 Registration Information

Registration for the Fall 2017 season will begin on April 8, 2017. This year, we will no longer be using the old eAYSO system. Instead, you can now register online on this very web site. Please be aware: This system is new and the vendor is still working out the kinks. We have attempted to document the process step-by-step, and we apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter. We highly recommend that you open the help pages in a new tab or window. ¿No habla inglés?

How to register

  1. Create an account (show help page) or log in to an existing account. Do not register in eAYSO.
    1. Your eAYSO username and password will NOT work because this is a brand-new system. This means that you will have to enter your and your players' information from scratch.
    2. If you are a returning volunteer, please make sure your first and last name and birth date are exactly the same as in eAYSO. This will ensure that your certifications get transferred over. For example, if in eAYSO your name is "Michael Smith", do not register as "Mike Smith" because that will not be a match.
    3. Please create only one account per family. An additional person (e.g., spouse/ex, other family member) may be added during the account creation process. Others may be added afterwards.
  2. Add participants (show help page)
    1. For returning players, please enter the first and last name and birth date exactly how it appears in eAYSO.
    2. For new players, you will need to bring a copy of the player's birth certificate to the walk-in event (see below).
  3. Register for the 2017 Fall Soccer program (show help page)
    1. You must use electronic signature ("eSign") to indicate that you accept all agreements.
    2. The registration fee is $125 per player until June 1, after which it becomes $160/player.
    3. Credit card payments may be done on the web site.
    4. If you intend to pay by cash or check, complete the registration process as far as the payment step, then stop.
    5. Print out one copy of the completed form.
  4. Mail the printed form (and check payment if applicable, payable to AYSO Region 42) to the following address:
    AYSO Region 42
    PO Box 709
    Newbury Park, CA 91319-0709

Registration is not complete until we receive the printed registration form, even if you pay online. This is because it is difficult for us to print these forms out, so thank you for doing us this small favor.

AYSO VIP Program

The AYSO Very Important Players (VIP) Program provides a quality soccer experience for children and adults whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams. VIP teams may include those who are:

  • Blind or visually impaired
  • Amputees or with conditions that impair mobility
  • Mentally or emotionally challenged
  • Autistic
  • Down syndrome
  • Cerebral Palsy

These youngsters are Very Important Players (VIP) in AYSO. We recognize that all children need to feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. The VIP program offers that acceptance and carries the AYSO philosophy of Everyone Plays® to new heights – giving everyone a chance to play.

VIP is an alternative for young people choosing to enjoy modified rules, field size, and assistance of a helpful "buddy" on the field as needed. Anyone ages 5 – 18 years, regardless of disability, is welcome to register.

Players looking to register for VIP may do so at Region 4 in Agoura Hills or Region 68 in Camarillo.

Additional general information on the AYSO VIP Program is also available at the VIP page on the National AYSO site.

EXTRA Program

AYSO Region 42 Newbury Park will not be offering the Extra program in Fall 2017. Families interested in participating in Extra are encouraged to tryout at our neighboring Regions, including Region 9 Thousand Oaks, Region 68 Camarillo, Region 4 Agoura, Region 363 Moorpark, and Region 121 Simi Valley. Information concerning those tryouts can be found on the respective websites.
