The Section 10 All-Star Championships are held annually in Bakersfield, bringing together the winners from the different Area All-Star Playoffs that comprise the Section. This year, Region 42 sent three teams: one GU12, one GU10, and one BU10 team  Both the GU12s and BU10s were winners of the All-Star Playoffs, and the GU10s came in second place.

Unfortunately, neither U10 team was unable to replicate their success in the playoffs, and despite their best efforts, did not qualify for the final rounds. Nevertheless we congratulate them for making it that far.

Meanwhile, our amazing GU12 team continued their fine run of form, defeating Encino 5–0, Ventura 6–0, and North Bakersfield 4–0, to advance to the knockout rounds. In the semifinal, they cruised past Santa Barbara 4–0, before overcoming Paso Robles 2–1 to win the trophy. Since the beginning of the All-Star season, this team has scored 60 goals and given up only 2. What an outstanding job! With this victory, they advance to the Western States Championship to be held in Carson City, Nevada, on the weekend of March 26. This will be Region 42's first appearance in that tournament in so long that our board members were unable to definitely recall when the last time was.
