2012 REGION 42 REFEREE CLINICS and TRAINING

the information below describes the referee clinics and training available in REGION 42 for the 2012-2013 season

U7/U8 Referee Volunteers (U7/U8 parents and youth referees) should complete items 1, 2 and 3.
Adult (18+ years) referees earning referee points and youth (12-18 years) who would like to referee U10 games should complete items 1, 2 and 4, OR 1, 2 and 5.
Please Note: Youth referees do not earn referee points at any time, and adult referees do not earn referee points for refereeing U7/U8 games.

1. VOLUNTEER FORM

MANDATORY for all referees! Complete the online volunteer form. Go to the eAYSO website and follow the directions. New volunteers need to print out and sign TWO copies of the completed volunteer form and have their ID checked when they turn in the forms to their coach or referee staff. Returning volunteers who volunteered in the 2011 season can update their existing information online and sign the form electronically; you will not need to print and turn-in paper forms.

2. SAFE HAVEN ONLINE TRAINING

Intended for: MANDATORY for all volunteers who have not taken Safe Haven since 2010!
When: Anytime. You must complete this course prior to attending a referee clinic. Please bring your printed certificate to the clinic.
Where: The AYSO Online Training Website
How to register: Login to the AYSO Online Training Website using your AYSO ID number and last name.
(If you are a new volunteer, you will receive your AYSO ID via e-mail after completing item #1 above.)
Click on "Courses"
Click on the appropriate course under "Safe Haven" to begin the course.
What to bring: No materials needed.
There are 137 slides with intermittent quizzes and a final 30 question test.

3. U8 REFEREE CLINIC
Our U8 Official (Referee) Clinic was held 8/29 and we currently do not have any additional U8 Official clinics scheduled in Region 42.
Please check our Referee Clinics page for other nearby clinics.

Intended for: U7/U8 parents and youth referees.
(Please note that you do NOT earn referee points as a U8 Referee.)
When: Wednesday, August 29th, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Where: Borchard Community Center (190 Reino Road) in the Stage Room
How to register: Login to eAYSO.org

4. BASIC REFEREE CLINIC
Our Basic Clinic was held 8/24-8/25 and we currently do not have any additional Basic clinics scheduled in Region 42.

Intended for: Adult (18+ years) referees earning referee points and youth (12-18 years) who would like to referee U10 games.
When: Friday, August 24th, 6:00pm to 9:00pm
AND Saturday, Aug 25 8:00am to 3:00pm.
(You must attend both days.)

5. BASIC ONLINE REFEREE COURSE + BASIC REFEREE COMPANION CLINIC

You must attend both the Online Course, and a Companion Course

Intended for: Adult (18+ years) referees earning referee points and youth (12-18 years) who would like to referee U10 games.

BASIC ONLINE REFEREE COURSE

When: Any time prior to attending the
companion course.
Where: The AYSO Online Training Website
How to register: Login to the AYSO Online Training Website using your AYSO ID number and last name.
(If you are a new volunteer, you will receive your AYSO ID via e-mail after completing item #1 above.)
Click on "Courses"
Click on "Course R002 - Basic Referee Online Training" to begin the course.
What to bring: No materials needed.

BASIC REFEREE COMPANION CLINIC
Our Basic Referee Companion Clinic was held 9/4 and we currently do not have any additional Basic Referee Companion clinics scheduled in Region 42.

When: Tuesday, Sept. 4th, 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

You MUST bring a printed copy of your Online
