UK INTERNATIONAL SOCCER CAMPS
SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM

UK International Soccer Camps is returning to Newbury Park AYSO Region 42 to conduct its Annual Summer Soccer program. The program features age appropriate sessions for ages 4 to 16 aimed at taking players' skills to the next level.

UK International's objective is to create the optimal environment in our own community in which children can learn and develop under the guidance of their 'ultimate soccer educators'.

Coaches, primarily from Great Britain, are selected not only for their knowledge and their coaching ability, but also for their commitment to creating a fun, positive learning environment for the players. The result is a soccer camp experience players will remember for a lifetime.

All camp sessions are based on individual attention to ball skills, as well as fun games to put those skills into practice and develop teamwork. Players are encouraged to express themselves in order to develop confidence and individual creativity on the field. Ball Mastery is incorporated into every session and each week the program has a different theme - Passing, dribbling, shooting, defending etc.

For additional general information, visit the AYSO Soccer Camps page, or the UK International Soccer Camps homepage.

For information on specific camp programs coming to Newbury Park, or to register your player, select the session you are interested in from the list below, or visit the UK International Soccer Camps registration page.

  • No bracelets: Players also cannot wear bracelets (except for MedicAlert bracelets), including "friendship" bracelets. Any rings must also be removed.
These rules are in place for the safety of all players on the field. Please help to ensure that your player is ready for a safe and fun day.

A MESSAGE FOR PARENTS
FROM OUR REGION COMMISSIONER
Welcome to another season of AYSO soccer in Newbury Park. Once again I'd like to take the opportunity to welcome back returning players and also extend a warm welcome to new players and families. We understand that there are many youth sport options for families and we appreciate that you have registered your son or daughter in our program. I hope you all have a wonderful experience with what I believe is the best youth soccer program in the USA.

In the 2013/14 season we will be celebrating 50 years of AYSO!! We expect to organize several fun events for families to enjoy over the next 12 months - On Jan 1st AYSO will have a float in the Rose Parade!

Registration this year has been very popular and we are excited to have formed close to 200 teams of soccer players ranging from 4 to 18 years old. The reason that we continue to have such a strong program in Newbury Park is that we get support each year from hundreds of volunteers -- like you. Our organization is 100% driven locally by a group of dedicated volunteers that form the Region 42 Board. We in turn are helped out in each division by volunteer coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, referees and many other functions.

REGION 42 ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
In the past years, Region 42 has witnessed incidents where coaches and/or spectators questioned the calls of referees, requiring referees to stop matches in order to deal with the situation. We even had an incident where a youth referee was verbally abused. These incidents have prompted us to remind everyone that Region 42 has a long standing, zero tolerance policy prohibiting such behavior.

Please take a few moments to review the Region 42 Zero Tolerance policy.

RESPECT.starts.with.me logo
AYSO JOINS WORLD-WIDE RESPECT CAMPAIGN
AYSO has brought the world-wide RESPECT campaign to American youth soccer this fall with its own distinct attitude: "RESPECT.starts.with.me"

No one is perfect. Mistakes get made. But when RESPECT is the foundation of our relationships, we treat each other with courtesy, consideration and patience. Kids watch the behavior of adults… and they learn how to relate to the world around them.

- FIELD CONDITIONS -

After 11/29/2013, individual field information will not be posted until the 2014 season.

Before heading to practices, please check the CRPD Field Conditions website for specific field conditions and availability. The conditions at Pepper Tree playfield are comparable to Sequoia; if Pepper Tree is closed, Sequoia is likely closed as well.

Why Sideline Screaming Can Stifle Your Child's Game  -   by mike woitalla
Imagine you're undertaking a fairly difficult task: assembling a piece of furniture with hieroglyphic instructions, filling out IRS Form 4562 on April 14, or standing on the highest rungs of a ladder painting the crown moulding in your living room with 14-foot ceilings. Think it would help if someone yelled at you during the process? Of course not.
