(coaches only)

Please sign up in advance by sending an e-mail to Niall. A lack of demand will result in sessions being cancelled.

If there are any other clinics that coaches would be keen to see then please let Niall know your suggestions. He is always delighted to hear about what areas coaches are keen to work on.

COACHING POINTS
It is essential that we remember to be soccer coaches and not cheerleaders! It is very easy to get enthusiastic about the player that can kick a ball a great distance and be a really positive coach without ever correcting the players when they are doing something wrong.

Are the players using the correct part of the foot? Are they directing the ball into a useful area? Are they developing as a soccer player? Many coaches don't seem to know what they are suppossed to be coaching i.e what part of the foot to use, where should the non-kicking foot be placed, etc. This coaching clinic will give you a great chance to learn all these important coaching points for passing, dribbling, shooting, control.
This will be a particularly dry and uneventful clinic but the principles being taught are extremely important. By the time players reach U12 coaches should be working on tactics, positioning and set-plays they should not have to be teaching the basics of the game. U7, U8 and U10 is the time to coach these basic points allowing the coaches at the older age group to develop the player's game even further.

OPEN FLOOR – AN AUDIENCE WITH NIALL MARSHALL

Ask Niall anything about soccer you want. Panther Coaches and Allstar Coaches could use this time to get a head start on the upcoming month. All coaches and assistant coaches are welcome to come along and ask me anything during this time about training, coaching , matches etc.

Please remember to sign up in advance for the clinics by contacting Niall to book a place. Clinics will be first come first served and will be cancelled if there is a lack of demand. Remember the clinic may not be relevant to you this season but may be something that you will require next season so why not hit the ground running next season.
